Aching Sweet

Sweet amber eyes, your heart runs dry.
So sweet it hurts, so nice it aches and stings and lights and burns to dust.
Sad sunset eyes, in hazy pools of fashioned white and dry, soft dust.
So sweet it hurt, so nice it ached and stung and lit and burned to ash.
Black cobalt eyes, your words run back in lines of red as dark as velvet.
So sweet it'll hurt, so nice you'll ache and sting and catch light then burn away.
It was so hard to hold.
Beside The Other
Not as well, it stops my hand.
Not as good, they stopped my eye.
Be under the table, I'm not yet as able.
And able to cry, and this one has eyes.
And this one sings songs, and this one has wings.

Not as efficient, not as present.
Dead and eroded. rotten. decreped.
In debt to the weapon.
And beautious nerve ends.
The tip of the tongue.

Not as lovely, or swift or quickless mind catching.
The lecherous and rotten, defiant brain scratching.
Before I begin and before I might end.
Provided I'm able to clean it and mend.
Provided they let be still and rest deep.
